XPMC v2 by splizzle XPMC v2 by splizzle
Finally releasing this beast.

Based off the visual style XPMC by b0se [link]

You need to install python prior to installing this theme or you will get errors. (thanks to mini-man for writing the mail checker script. :-D)

Python: [link]

Notes and permissions are in the readme. Please read it before asking me questions.

Note: If you have loose-screws as a *NetLoadModuleSite in your step.rc, modules will not download correctly and litestep will freeze. Check c:\litestep\step.rc to see if it is in there. If it is, delete it.

There's a problem here..it tries to download rainmeter-0.14 but then says that the zip was invalid. How to fix this?

Hey, does this theme support Fullscreen in programs? I can't seem to get Firefox "Fullscreen," the XPMC bar still shows up at the bottom of the screen. The "Show Desktop" Feature does not work, either, and I'd love to be able to right-click on the main bar and get the pop-up as if I were clicking the desktop.

I'm sure I could just do most of this myself if I knew the coding, but it's been years since I installed Litestep before. Otherwise, this is a great theme.

Beautiful theme: since I've got a 1920x1200 screen, the big taskbar isn't an issue for me, in fact I love it. Everything is more or less organised there.

One thing though, I'm fairly new to Litestep, how would I go about editing some of the programs links? i.e. the "Burn" and "Settings" in Programs - everything thing else is edited via Evarconfig.

Lastly, what do I need to play with the settings for the inbox to display say my Outlook inbox?

Thanks.

about editing your program entries... did you read the readme? it is addressed in there. open up the themevars.rc file and edit in there.

about your outlook... i dunno what mail service you have linked to it, but my mail thing was only tested with gmail using imap. please read the readme.

I edited the weather url with my post code, now everytime I recycle it produces

"The following error occured during web-page parsing: User-specified substring not found"

What have I done wrong?

Sorry if I look like I'm spamming (Deviantart should have an edit button!)

I've solved it, basically I did a copy and paste based on your "Example" where it is f=0, turned it to f=4 made it worked :)

Thanks :)
I skimmed through the read me and didn't realise there is a "walkthrough":p

All is in order now - apart from Weather, I entered UKXX0115 as the post code instead of the state side (for Portsmouth, UK) and it kept having refresh error.

Will tinkle around yet.

This worked nicely on my Vista, though I would suggest - if you're going to have such a large bar that you provide some auto-hide feature.

I cherish my real estate and prefer not to squander it.

This is the only reason I'm using another instead.

Nice theme. Congratulations.
I have a question: the systray does not show all the icons. Is there a way to do this?

The problem is that my mouse-wheel is broken. :D
I presume there is no other way to do it, right?

I have to buy a new one. Thanks for reply.

yeah you're kind of SOL in that aspect... one thing you could do is type !xtrayscrollnext or !xtrayscrollprev in the command box. its a pain in the ass but thats pretty much the only thing you can do with no scroll wheel.

I'm really glad you released this theme! I'm using it right now and it is fantastic. :D

There's one problem that's bugging me though; every time the theme loads, I get an error for the AdvancedCPU.dll:

Error: Could not locate module
Please check your configuration

I'm not really sure what to do... but anyway, great work on this! ^_^

*update*

I have to say, I'm having problems installing this theme. I do try to fix these things myself without coming straight back and crying about it but i can't seem to fix it.

I installed python. I chose rainmeter.dll when prompted to choose the module for the rainmeter. Thing is now the main task bar wont show and the popup menus are not working. I've checked the readme but cant see an tips so sort it out.

Kinda stuck here.

The right thing to do is choose ALL files and then click on the rainmeter.dll

ah so you finally realeased it. I never though I'd be getting this hot and bothered about a default-ish theme but man, you stumped me.

Good work.
